Three DIY Websites Into One Programs Portal on WordPress
Jessie Mundell is a kinesiologist and prenatal and postnatal fitness coach who teaches two audiences at once: new and expecting moms, through her To Pregnancy and Beyond membership and Core + Floor Restore, and fitness professionals, through the Postnatal Fitness Specialist Academy, a ten-week certification that has run twice a year since 2016.
By 2017 the business had outgrown the way it was built. Each program lived on its own site. The membership ran on one domain with OptimizePress and PayPal buttons, the certification on another, and the main brand site on a third, with four accounts sharing one hosting plan and email running through dozens of separate Aweber lists. Every launch meant touching all of them, and as a Canadian business she also had to collect and report tax correctly on every sale, which most course platforms handled badly.
Jessie first hired Swanked for a brand identity. What followed was a multi-year partnership that moved every program, student, and subscription onto a single platform, and then kept that platform fast, secure, and selling as the business grew.
Challenge & Solution
Brand first. The first project rebuilt Jessie’s identity and program branding, then relaunched jessiemundell.com on it in July 2017. That gave her later build a system to design into, and it is the identity she still uses today.
One portal for every program. Within weeks she asked for what she really needed: all three programs on one platform. We built her programs on WordPress with LearnDash for courses, WooCommerce Subscriptions and Memberships for billing and access, Stripe and PayPal configured for Canadian tax, and AffiliateWP for her referral partners.
An email and membership engine to match. In early 2018 we exported her 42 Aweber lists, deduplicated roughly 14,000 subscribers down to 11,286, rebuilt every form and automation in ActiveCampaign, and connected membership access through ActiveMember360 so a purchase, a due date, or a certification expiry could drive what each student saw. The cutover protected 43 courses, 126 lessons, 400 topics, 19 products, and 874 students without a gap in access.
Certification as a system. Her final exam moved from a standalone quiz tool into LearnDash with automated certificates, two-year expiry tracking, recertification and course-extension products, and a Featured Coach directory. Four versions of the certification course were merged into one, and roughly 300 students were migrated into it.
Final Result
Jessie’s business runs from one site. Students log in once and see every program they own, her team manages enrollment and delivery in one place, and affiliates share one set of links. She said it best herself: three pieced-together sites became one, and it leveled up her business in every way.
The platform has held up. In early 2024, seven years after the first build, she was still running on the membership site we created, well supported and selling from it. Along the way it produced the kind of numbers a patched-together stack never could.
