One Intentional Path Instead of Disconnected Tools: A Simplero Build-Out and Website Rebrand for Dr. Beverly Yates
Dr. Beverly Yates is a licensed naturopathic doctor with more than 30 years of clinical practice, an MIT-trained electrical engineer, and the author of The Yates Protocol: 5 Simple Steps to Fix Your Blood Sugar and Reverse Type 2 Diabetes. Her programs guide people with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes through a 21-Day Blood Sugar Challenge, the Lower A1C Fast Community, a Blood Sugar Success Consultation, and private coaching.
Simplero has been her CRM for years, and it is the platform she prefers. The problem was not the tool. It was how little of it was being used. As she introduced new offers, they were being built outside of it. Her community launched on Skool, which could not manage failed payments, subscriptions, or buyer tagging. Funnels and checkouts had been set up by previous contractors around a single offer’s domain, with no analytics on the pages that took money. Every new offer added another place to look and another gap in what she could track.
Her audience was growing at the same time. A published book, a YouTube channel, and a podcast were sending more people than ever to a website that did not present her as the authority and trusted expert she is. In her words it was “dull, frozen in time, not responsive,” and only “a trickle” of visitors found their way to a program. After several providers who did not follow through, Dr. Yates needed one partner to make the system she already had work for her business, and then give it a front door that matched.
Challenge & Solution
The system first. Rather than add another tool, we started by making Simplero do what it was already capable of. The community moved off Skool and into Simplero, built not just as a home for the membership but as a place where her group programs can live too.
Enrollment, onboarding, a monthly content drip, live Q&A reminders, member spotlights, failed-payment recovery, and cancellation flows all run automatically now.
One launch at a time, one funnel at a time. Each of her launches became the occasion to bring another piece of the business inside the system. Registration, replay, and sales pages, confirmation and reminder sequences built on the right event triggers so they send themselves, open-cart emails, and attendee and no-show follow-ups were built in Simplero and documented, so each launch is a process her team can rerun rather than a rebuild.
A communication system that keeps her top of mind. Promotions only work when people are already hearing from you. A weekly newsletter now goes out with real value between launches, and Simplero’s engagement-based sending means she reaches the people who have opened or clicked recently rather than blasting a cold list.
Then the website. With the backend reliable, we rebranded the entire WordPress site around one goal: someone who has just discovered Dr. Yates should understand within moments who she is, what she does, and how she can support their blood sugar journey.
The design leads with her positioning as a doctor and author, so the customer journey starts from trust and warmth rather than confusion. The site is built to be a place to learn, not just a place to land. Her podcast feed is embedded directly on the site and recommends specific episodes so a visitor can keep learning from her on the topic that brought them in.
Every program is laid out with clear “this is for you if” criteria, because her audience arrives at very different stages, and the programming was thought through to meet each of them. For anyone unsure of their next step, a quiz connects them to the right offer.
Speaking and media, the newsletter, and her free resources were brought onto the main site. And every path on the front end was intentionally matched to the backend journey behind it: the quiz, the program pages, and The Yates Protocol sales page, built natively in Simplero, each lead into the same checkout, enrollment, and onboarding sequences, so the experience a visitor has on the site is the experience they get after they join.
What the system produces. With everything running in one place, her live webinar events convert registrations at around 40%, show-up rates land between 30 and 50%, and buy rates between 5 and 10%, launch after launch. Her email list opens at 45 to 50% with click rates of 1 to 2%, well above what most lists see, and each cycle we find the next place to lift conversion to her offers so that as her audience grows, her revenue grows with it.
Final Result
Dr. Yates’s business now runs on the platform she was already paying for, used the way it was meant to be used. Her membership and group programs live in a connected member area on Simplero. Her launches, checkouts, onboarding, and follow-up happen inside Simplero with more automations and less manual outputs. Her audience hears from her every week and shows up when she invites them. Her traffic can be attributed to the programs people join.
And her website finally represents her. A first-time visitor meets a trusted expert, understands quickly how she can help, can keep learning from her podcast on the spot, and can find the right program through the quiz, with the same care carrying through to everything that happens after they join. The journey from first click to enrolled member is one intentional path instead of a series of disconnected tools.
In her words: “This experience has been the complete opposite of the really bad experiences before. You’ve done the IBM thing of under-promising and over-delivering.”

In Her Words
I’m Dr. Beverly Yates ND, a licensed doctor with over 30 clinical years in naturopathic medicine, helping people with chronic illnesses reclaim their health, their joy, and their energy. My current focus is diabetes. I’m also an MIT electrical engineer who used to work in Silicon Valley, and I take that big-picture systems thinking and apply it to the root-cause issues that keep people stuck with chronic illness.
Before, my website didn’t represent me as a professional. It didn’t represent my brand or my intention of meeting the audience where they are. It was dull, frozen in time, not responsive, and so many things looked and felt broken, not thought through, and haphazard. As my YouTube audience grew and my book was released, many more people were looking me up and seeking help, but when they got to the website they were probably disappointed or confused about where to go, where to start, how to engage. Only a trickle of people got through all of the disorganization to join a program or work with me one-on-one. Most people aren’t going to try that hard. They already feel unwell. It’s like asking that person to run a marathon when they have a hard time getting up off the couch.
My biggest fear was that this would be yet another moment where a lot of money, time, and energy was invested, I did my part in good faith, and the person I hired simply didn’t follow through on our basic commitments. To my complete delight and surprise, this experience has been the complete opposite of the really bad experiences before. You’ve done the IBM thing of under-promising and over-delivering. Any surprises that came my way were good ones. If we had a hiccup, it was just that. You dealt with it, you fixed it, you were never defensive. You met me where I was and helped me learn to trust again as a business owner, working with someone who actually fulfills what we agreed on and then takes it to the next step. I have bragged on you and your work, because it is such a polar difference from the mess that kept going on to the point where I was about ready to give up.
Now the programs are clearly listed with clear criteria. This is for you if, and this is not for you if. People can sit with it and say, “I’m a total newbie, I need to start here,” or “Let me take the quiz and see where I land,” or “I’ve done other programs and none of it worked, what have you got that’s different?” I want to meet all of those people, and I want them to know I am that trusted guide.
To anyone considering this: you finally met the person and the team who can actually get this job done, within the timeframe and the budget you’ve set, done really well. For once you’re not going to have to babysit anybody. If you don’t say yes to this, it’s a missed opportunity for you and your business, because this is how you close those gaps and get to the next level quickly, efficiently, on time, and on budget. You’re just delaying your own success.
